IPPS travel grants for 16th WCPP in Nairobi

The IPPS is providing travel grants to support students and young researchers from developing countries to attend the 16th World Congress on Parasitic Plants in Nairobi. Applicants must comply with the following conditions:

You are an Early Career Scientist (e.g. MSc student, Ph.D. student, post-doc)

You have registered to attend the WCPP and have submitted an abstract for an oral presentation or a poster

You should not exceed the age of 35 years at the starting date of the Congress (3rd July 2022)

If you meet these criteria you can send your application no later than the 30th of June 2022 by e-mail to the IPPS (secretary@parasiticplants.org who will evaluate your application.

Your application must include:

  1. A brief Curriculum Vitae
  2. A short motivation letter
  3. A budget (estimation of the costs for travel, registration, and accommodation including the costs covered by your home institution)

Successful applicants will be notified by the IPPS Secretary. The IPPS will not provide the travel grant in advance. Please note that the travel grant cannot exceed 750 Euros. The recipient will need to send by email a completed “Declaration Form” to the IPPS secretary/treasurer within 15 days after the event. The grants will be reimbursed/awarded by the IPPS Treasurer to the recipient by bank transfer after his/her active participation in the Congress, and after receiving the forms, within two months after the event. Details on reimbursements and Declaration forms will be provided by the IPPS Treasurer if a grant/prize has been awarded.
