Together with the organizers, the IPPS Executive Committee has decided to postpone the 16th World Congress of Parasitic Plants (WCPP) to 2022, to be held in Nairobi, Kenya. As Covid19 case numbers continue to surge in many parts of the world, it is unlikely that pandemic-related travel restrictions will be relieved soon, preventing many members to come to Nairobi. The WCPP lives of lively exchanges and personal interactions between researchers. We all regret that it will not be possible to meet this year and discuss the most recent advances in parasitic plant research. The Executive Committee is currently setting up an alternative that will allow its international members to catch up with the recent progresses and activities in the field.
