A Postdoctoral position in Plant Biochemistry and Metabolism is currently available in the BioActives Lab, in the Center for Desert Agriculture at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). We are looking for an excellent candidate with proven experience in enzymatic in vitro and/or in vivo studies, and protein expression in and purification. Experience in HPLC, LC-MS or Metabolic Engineering is a plus.

Required Qualifications: PhD in biochemistry, metabolomics or enzymology.
The position is for one years and can be extended up to five years depending on performance. The positions will remain open until filled.
Our group is working on basic and translational aspects of plant metabolism and hormone research, with focus on strigolactones and apocarotenoid growth regulators, elucidation of metabolic pathways and identifying novel small molecules regulating crop resilience and performance. We are guiding an international consortium funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for combating Striga in Sub-Saharan Africa.
