The 17th world congress on parasitic plants will be held in Nara, Japan. Nara was the capital of ancient Japan between 710 to 784 CE and the old wooden temples are listed in the UNESCO world heritage sites. Nara is located near Kyoto and Osaka with 30 min train travel. The parasitic plant Aeginetia indica can be seen in the nearby botanical garden in Kasugataisha shrine in September. The conference will be held in the 1st week of July 2024.
